Robin Nagle Interview

“Every single thing you see is future trash, everything,” Robin Nagle. Robin Nagle is an anthropologist who worked with the New York City’s Department of Sanitation, trying to understand the cycle of human waste products. She hopes to open a museum of sanitation in New York.
I really never thought much about what happens to your garbage, after you throw it out. I always figured it was just piled up in a landfill in some field that would eventually be covered up. Robin Nagle brings the problem about people not thinking about the importance of sanitation and the garbage process right out into the open. She explains how people make garbage invisible in their minds. How no one really thinks much about what happens after you take out the trash.
After reading this interview, my personal perspective on garbage has changed. I thought about the history of human’s sanitation. I think trash has come a long way from being tossed out into the streets. This interview made me realize how helpful recycling can be if everyone choose to do it.
I think that if people where educated more on the waste that was thrown away, not just an average house hold, but their own house hold that was annually thrown away. Then maybe that would be a big difference in the deductions of waste. Another idea would be to put incentives for groceries or something. Because people who can barely afford food would think twice about throwing recyclables away if it meant 30% off of their grocery bill.

Research Paper

For the paper on sustainability I choose to write about acts taken by people that help the environment without them realizing it.  Its people living green and not knowing it yet, for example a lot of people will limit their electricity use to safe money on their lighting bill. Isn’t that an act towards saving the environment? There are a lot of things people do to save money, like burn wood during the winter instead of using propane. I think that this subject will be very interesting, I never really thought about doing things that are environmentally safe and not realizing it.

Food Article Buffalo Wings

Im pretty sure mostly every one has tried some sort of buffalo wing in there life time. Buffalo wings are parts of the chicken wing that are covered in sauce that can go from mild to extremely hot. Buffalo wings orginated in Buffalo New York around the year of 1964. They were created by a lady named Teressa Belissimo. One night she needed to make a quik snack. So she got the idea to deep fry the chicken wings that were usaully thrown away or used to make chicken stock. She then make a sauce using cayenne hot sauce. After this first creation of the wings they became a hit.
Now days you can find wings almost anywhere they are in food stores and resteruants. The are served in bars. Most wings are served with cerely and some sort of cheese. My personal favorite type of wing are the ones from Pizza Hut not the Wing Street ones just the Pizza Hut original ones.

Intro

Hello, my name is Bernida Denny, most people call me Bernie. I have two siblings, three nieces. and one nephew, who are the greatest in my opinion. I am an enrolled tribal member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe in Wind River Wyoming. I am from Rocky Boy Montana about an hour and half from the Canadian border, I am majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in geography. I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and watching T.V. I have been living in Missoula for two years now, and I find it to be a very peaceful, and laid back city.
I love to read when I find a book that is appealing to me. I mainly read fiction, and non fiction. I used to read a lot in high school, but since then I really haven't really read very many books just the ones required for school. Some of my favorite books I have read are the Harry Potter's, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, A Hundred Years of Old Man Sage, Winter in the Blood, and Fools Crow.
